How to get to Lagos

In addition to Lisbon, it is also possible to fly to Faro , closer to Lagos. Many major airports in Europe have direct flights to Faro.

From Lisbon

We recommend going by bus from Lisbon to Lagos. We strongly recommend traveling from "Lisboa (Oriente)" station, which is fairly close to the airport.

Trains are also an option, but there is no direct line from Lisbon to Lagos: one needs to change 1 or 2 times, and the total travel time is about the same as the bus (and twice or thrice as expensive).

From Lisbon aiport to Oriente station

  • One can take the metro (red line). It takes about 5 minutes from the "Aeroporto" to the "Oriente" station. Metro tickets can be bought in vending machines at the entrance of the metro station.
  • Note that a taxi may be cheaper and more convenient if traveling in a group.
